This article contains instructions for updating and removing integrations in your Procountor environment. These instructions apply if your integration is implemented using the Procountor API.

Maintaining and Updating an Integration
These instructions apply only to those integrations that have been taken into use through the new integration activation flow (released in March, 2025). Only in these cases can "Update required" prompts be shown in the frontpage.
Once your integration request is approved after a successful integration activation, it typically requires no special attention. However, there may be occasions when the integration provider needs to modify integration features and the user rights assigned to the “technical user.” In these cases, you will receive a prompt to update your integration.
Update Process:
- Notification: You will see the text “Update required” on Procountor’s front page in the “Hello” widget. Click on “Show info.” This notification is shown in all your Procountor environments, not only those with an active integration.
- Information Dialog: A new dialog window will open, displaying basic information about the integration to be updated. Click “Next.”
- Environment Selection: Select the environments where the updated integration should be applied. By default, select all environments. Click “Next.”
- Review Changes: Review the updated user rights. These changes are determined by the integration provider and cannot be edited. Click “Update integration.”
- Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation that the update is complete.
Important Note: Update the integration as soon as possible
If the integration is not updated by the integration user, the old version with the previous user rights will remain active temporarily. However, we cannot guarantee that the old version will remain operational indefinitely. Eventually, features may not work as intended because the user rights of your version are not aligned with the updated integration features. Therefore, we recommend updating the integration as soon as you receive the prompt.
Removing an Integration
If you wish to remove an integration that uses Procountor API, you may do so in Procountor.
- Navigate to API Client Keys (via the “Basics” submenu in the top-right corner)
- Select the correct API key+Environment row and choose: Revoke key.
- You will be notified that removing the API key will also remove the technical user related to it and the integration will stop working. Choose "Revoke API key" to continue.
- Done! The integration has been removed from the selected environment.
Revoking the API key will disable the integration and stop the billing related to the integration.
We recommend that you notify the integration provider about terminating the service.
In case you need to activate the integration again in the future, you can start the integration activation process from the beginning.
